The Waste Skip now has a reprieve until March! Please, everybody, write to the address below to get this inexpensive waste skip retained: it costs peanuts-and the only people against it seem to be the Village Hall and Parish Councillors.

Don't be mislead by the bumph they send out about cost per tonne and differentiated waste-it all goes into the same hole in the ground until we devise pressure furnaces with toxic product removal to heat steam for our power stations!!!

Dear Sirs,
Re Waste Skip Saturday Welton Village Hall.

We are all agreed that the best way to destroy minimised waste is to transport by rail, centrally, and burn under forced-air and use steam pressure turbines to generate power, collecting the noxious by-products by fractionation and adsorption filters.
Until the country invents such a process, the government taxes us more and more: we are all paying 50%+ in taxation-the fines “system” imposed is valueless and pointless.

My letter was purely to request reinstatement of a very inexpensive skip service at the village hall-which costs peanuts-or to build a “mini-Whisby” waste tip along Hackthorn Road to serve the Eastern villages.

I believe the main people ranting against the retention of a skip are the Village Hall management [ie the Parish Council], and your sheaf of bumph is no more than “spin” to “justify” removal of a valued service, for which we are all happily paying from our taxation, poll, general and stealth.

I again request that this service is reinstated to help older, frailer, villagers dump their waste easily at the village hall Saturday skip.

Yours sincerely,

Steve Sanford

Dear Sirs,

Many residents of Welton are totally dismayed at the proposed cessation of Saturday Waste collection skip at the Village Hall; it is appreciated, used well, and it seems that only the Village Hall [Parish Council] management are against this skip. It is next to the Police Station, so vandalism obviously is not a factor.

Great Northern Terrace “facility” is a disastrous nightmare-carrying waste up dangerous stairs and packing it horizontally into a “rail van” is terrible. The place is a dirty nightmare.
Whisby facility is excellent, with ramps above the skips, now it is run well by Lincwaste: very polite, helpful tidy operatives.

If you are determined to end the waste skip at Welton, a new small discrete “Whisby type” facility should be built near the waterworks at Hackthorn Road.

Welton, Dunholme, Nettleham, Scothern, Sudbrook etc need a waste tip near these villages.

Yours sincerely,

Steve Sanford
